clarification

I received a comment this morning regarding this post.

Now.  I suppose I could get my undies in a bundle.  And get all defensive.  And send it off to my friends.  And have them support me.  And tell me all the things I want to hear.  And then I’d feel better.

Or would I?

Maybe, just maybe it’d still be bothering me and I’d still dwell on it.  You know … if were the sort of person to do any of that.  :)

But seriously … I’ve been thinking about it on and off this morning and decided I should just clarify …

The God I serve is omnipresent.

Everywhere.  At the same time.

This is what I believe.

So in no way did I intend for the image, quote and download to mean otherwise … or go against what I believe.

I guess it was a tongue-in-cheek saying and I thought it was cute.  I didn’t think it would be taken otherwise … and I guess a lesson to me to be careful what I post.  Or at the very least, in the future, clarify my beliefs if the post would insinuate otherwise.

Well … there you have it.  I’m breathing a sigh of relief as I hit the “publish” button.  As you were …

Well, if it makes you feel better, I have just as much belief in God and serve him as I can … daily. With this said….I LOVED that link and have since began to follow the blog.

    In Christ,
    Melanie

Ohhhhh you so reminded me of me here. :) It would have been bothering me too if I received a post as such – however it’s important that we try not to read too deeply into things… and remember that you are a woman of God and obviously didn’t mean to insinuate anything of the sort! :) Life it too short to spend too much time reading “between the lines”! Keep on posting girl! ; )

Without getting my dander up (since you handled this with your usual grace), I would just like to say that without exception, your faith shines through in your writing and your life — and that there’s no need to clarify that fact based on the repetition of a well-known, cute, tongue-in-cheek phrase about motherhood. Yes, God is omnipresent, AND He uses us Mommas to deliver His message to our children. Because they trust us and find comfort in us, who better to do that job??

all comments being said and heard…. no that you will NEVER please everyone, so try not to let it consume you or take it too personally.

I think it’s too bad that you should have to clarify your writing. I even completely understand how you might get some of your underthings in a bundle…but I admire you for reaching out to those of us who might not understand someone with as much forsight…as yourself.

    LOVE YOU TRACIE!!!

I so agree with Leslie— your faith shines through in EVERYTHING you do. Your passion, love and desire to share God is evident… I didn’t read the comment, but I know it takes a serious strength and grace (both of which you have in excess) to continue to be postive even when you feel hurt… and Trisha said it too— we can never please everyone. This is YOUR space. You can post whatever you desire. The moment your blog becomes a place to make others happy you lose the joy of blogging. KEEP posting what makes you smile!!!! Lots of xoxoxoxoxos to you my friend!!!!!!!

I’m all for “speaking the truth” in your life. But I think there is a difference between what is truth and what is judgment. If you pass judgment on someone else’s faith, you really should ask yourself why.

Keep on telling your truth, Tracie, in your own lovely way!
