i be reposting …

A few things have come up recently that’ve made me decide to repost some of my older musings.

  1. We’ve got quite a bit of guests coming and going over the next few weeks and I’d like to concentrate on spending time with them.
  2. I feel like God has led me to some of my older writings and put it in my heart to revisit and share them with you.
  3. I’ve had a reader question what my motives are here.  They feel I’m exploiting my children, not protecting them, and that my relationship with God should be kept private.
  4. To that end … I’ve realized I have many new visitors to this site and I thought it might be helpful to revisit some older posts to get a better glimpse into my heart.

And yes … number three hasn’t exactly sat well with me.  In fact, in digging deeper {have I ever mentioned I’d love to be a private investigator?} … I’m quite hurt to find out who this reader is and the depth of judgement and betrayal that’s happened.

It’s really made me question myself and my musings.  But as I’ve said here, I do, in fact, believe this is my story … well … I know this is my story.  But I believe with everything inside of me that God wants me to share my story for His glory.

You see … what most don’t know, is that He’s prepared me.  He’s prepared my heart.  Just as the story of Esther goes … “I’ve been prepared for such a time as this.”

Do you realize that God prepares us for His purposes?  He prepares us for where He places us.

In the last ten years, I have walked many, many difficult roads and trials.  None as great as I’m walking right now … but I’m now able to look back and see how God has prepared me for “such a time as this.”

So. anyway.  Given numbers one through four above … I do believe that I’m meant to share some of my older musings with y’all.  If you’ve read them before, I pray you something new stands out and blesses you.  And if you’re new to the words … I thank you for joining me and I pray you see God’s glory through me.

Traci, original or re-posts…doesn’t matter. I enjoy your blog as it is thoughtful, inspiring, humorous, educational and very well written. I am going to try yesterday’s recipes at our neighborhood picnic next week. As for any negative feedback you may receive, read it, move on and prayer for the sender. They obviously need to find Grace and God in their lives as well. Enjoy your company…just as I will enjoy the re-posts.

I love that you sluethed out your commentor… I did that once to an anonymous {nice} comment and it turned out to be a guy from church that I didn’t even know he knew what a blog was!

Enjoy your upcoming company – I wish I was one of them!! One day! :)

    Tracie –
I have never known ANYone with more faith and strength than you. Whoever your anonymous commenter was/is, it a cowardly mask to hide behind the anonymity of a comment section on a blog; ESPECIALLY when you know that person in real life – which I gather you must. I am so happy for your new adventure and hope that a fresh start is what it takes to bring you and the girls some peace of heart and mind. Stay strong, ignore the complainers and embrace your friends…which you have MANY of.

You are such a strong wonderful woman. Whoever this anonymous person is must not understand the point of a blog. This blog is a focus on your life. God is part of your life; your kids are part of your life. I think it is amazing that you do put it out there for us to grow in parenting, decorating, your interests our faith, and really just life. I feel when you do post about God that it is our own personal bible study. As you grow so does everyone else. I love it! Don’t ever stop what you are doing or get discouraged.

I do not understand the motive behind some of these people who feel they have the right to judge you. Have they looked in the mirror? Tracie, I find your writing so inspirational and the strength you show has certainly helped me face some difficult situations with a very different attitude. Your writing is a gift from God and you are sharing his word. Please continue to write and share what is in your heart. Your words are helping others as I hope our support has helped you. Be good to yourself!

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
    Matthew 5 v 14-16

Our relationship with God is not supposed to be private! Keep up the good work.

    Tracie,
Not sure how I ended up here, but I’ve been a follower for a while. Your posts are an absolute inspiration to me. I couldn’t agree more with what ‘CheezyK’ said – ‘Our relationship with God is not supposed to be private!’ You know in your heart what to share and not to share, and I think you’re doing a beautiful job!
*Hugs* to you and your family!

    Tracie,

Hadn’t had a chance to visit your blog for a while… just went back to read all the old posts, and wanted to let you know I’m praying for you. You are a wonderful woman and mom… and as I’ve mentioned before you inspire me in so many ways. May the Lord give you all the strength you need.. xo

I never understood why people post negative things. I feel like if you don’t like what a blogger has to offer, then don’t read the blog!

Keep being stretched! Let God lead, and remember always that this is temporary. Like in Romans we know that “all” things work together for the good of those who are called according to His purpose, which means both the helpful as well as the hurtful! Let the antics of the enemy be your footstool to gain momentum and leverage. God is cheering for you, and so are many friends and Believers. Be well, be safe!
