shamrocks & a sense of humor {tuesday unwrapped}

Today, I’m joining Emily in unwrapping an expected gift.  My gift for you today?  A sense of humor.

So … I posted about this treat last year, but never had the chance to make them with the girls … so decided to go for it this year!

Ingredients:

  • white melting chocolate
  • green sprinkles
  • tiny pretzel twists
  • mini pretzel sticks
  • a sense of humor

Directions:
Melt the white chocolate.  Lay out 3 pretzels in the shape of a shamrock {on wax paper}, then put a pretzel stick on the bottom.  Spoon some melted chocolate over the middle of the pretzels and finish by sprinkling {or pouring in the baby’s case} some green sprinkles over the top.  Let sit overnight for the chocolate to dry.  Or …

Go downstairs to your home theater for a movie night, leaving five dogs unattended to gobble up your freshly made treats.

Yeah.  It’s like that.

    How adorable! Were the girls upset their hard work was gobbled up by the dogs?

    Tracie…just happened to take a look at your blog today and what good luck! These are so cute…I just got done making them. Thanks for the tip on the dogs…I made sure both of my little chocolate doggies were happily chewing some peanut butter rawhide! A little tip I learned from working with chocolate…put it in a Ziploc bag and then cut a little tip off of one of the ends…then squeeze it out. With some practice, it works pretty good…unless, of course, the bag doesn’t zip properly…then you have a mess! Thanks again for the cute idea…Kevin’s Irish teacher is going to love them.
