valentine’s 2010

{found via the crafty crow :: image via family fun}

I fell in love with this craft when I saw it, and fortunately, seemed easy enough to do!  What I forgot about though … I now have 3 kids giving out Valentine’s.  So roughly 60 of these babies needed to be assembled.

The madness consumed our counter for a few days, but I think the end result turned out pretty nice.

I had already ordered a Valentine’s card with the girls photos on them {name on back}, so just hole punched it and tied it to the shovel.

Next up?  I love this and totally knew I’d use it for Wynter’s {class} party snack.

I went shopping yesterday morning and found a fun brownie mix with “funfetti” for the top … started making them in the afternoon.  Put two pans in the oven, set the timer, and went to talk to miss teen.  Big mistake in not taking that timer with me.  Especially given my brain these days.  In fact, my sis told me I should just start carrying around paper and pen, so I can jot down a thought when I have it.  Sigh …

Anyway.  You see where I’m headed?  An HOUR later, I’m still talking to Tay and it’s time to pick up the other girls.  I go to grab my purse and realize … MY BROWNIES!!!

Yeah.

So I get the kids from school.  Stop by the store … again.  Pick up a couple more boxes.  Get home and start all over … again.

Totally worth it though, don’t cha think?  If you like the bag, head on over to Twig & Thistle for the Valentine’s download and link to Kathleen’s etsy shop for the plain paper bags {she has pretty white ones too}.

    OK, I love these. They are absolutely adorable. More over, can I say how envious I am of you and the fact that you are able to do these types of things with your girls? What an awesome gift you’ve been given, to be able to spend such quality time doing such meaningful things with your kids. I work fulltime (not by choice, trust me!) and would do anything to be afforded more time with my girls. You are truly blessed… your blog title is so fitting! :)
