great is his faithfulness

I have learned there is freedom in relying fully on my faith.  And counter to that, there’s freedom in His faithfulness.

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Lamentation 3:22-23 {NLT}

I feel passionate about this and can’t wait to share more of my feelings with you.

The words “faithful love” and “faithfulness” in the above Scripture mean this {respectively} in the original language:

Aman – to believe, trust; to be reliable, faithful.  A couple of synonyms include favor and loving-kindness.

Hesed – one of the most important words in the old testament, hesed essentially denotes an act of kindness, love or mercy.

So if we know faith to mean complete trust and confidence … and given the above meanings.

We can have complete trust and confidence in His favor.  In His loving-kindness.  In His love.  In His mercy.

These are the promises of His Word.

    His Word is so beautiful and clear! I am always amazed how making the connection from reading it to putting it in my heart, and living it becomes unclear. Of course, we know it is TRUE and PERFECT! Now it is time for me to not just believe but to live it! I am ready to be able to say with complete certainy- “I have learned there is freedom in relying fully on my faith.” I have to be honest, I don’t think I am there yet, but I am ready to be! Thank you for helping me see where I need to go! I know He will help me get there! I completely admire your Trust! I don’t know why it seems hard for me. I love Him and try to rebuke the lies, but they still keep sneaking in. Thanks for encouraging me to keep on running the race for the prize!

    I used to try to trust in longer frames of time and I would lose sight~ I wondered why it seemed so hard I guess, or meaningless maybe~ I have gone through something that has given me ultimate teaching in trusting Him not one month at a time, not one week at a time, or a day or an hour, but literally for moments at a time~ He longs for us to fall on our knees, put our faces to the ground and cry out “Ok, Lord, YOU are all I need, and right now, even for this MOMENT, I know I am OK and YOU are with me, guiding me, using me for YOUR good, loving me and growing me~ Tracie! Thank you for stepping out in faith to commit yourself to this to help us all walk along this journey………..
