I'm a redeemed child of God and the momma to four vivacious daughters. I'm passionate about finding hidden blessings in the trials of life, living it out in an honest and open way, while encouraging those around me to believe in better.

do you believe in his promises?

And what if you don’t?  What if you just can’t wrap your head around a God that is holding you?  A God that loves you?  A God that wants nothing but good for you?

In one of my favorite devotions, Praying God’s Word Day By Day, Beth Moore is talking about faith through most of this month {go figure!}.  I’d love to just scan and PDF the whole month for you … so much wisdom and truth … but instead, I’ll share bits of inspiration that I’ve gathered.

One thing she writes is this, “Help me to understand that the amount of faith I possess will greatly affect the freedom and confidence with which I approach you … Help me to know and cease doubting.”

Isn’t that what faith is all about?  To know! And cease doubting?

Some may be asking … struggling with, “I desperately want to cease doubting, but how?”

I. wish. I had a magical formula … an easy answer.  The faith walk is different for everyone.  Some get it strong right away.  Others take years.  And some, unfortunately, may never fully grasp it.

Personally, it’s taken me 42 years to come to the place where my faith is today … and I’m still growing, still learning.

What I can tell you, without a doubt, without hesitation?  There is such freedom … such peace that comes when you fully and completely cease doubting in knowing there’s a God that’s holding you, that loves you, that wants nothing but good for you.

Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now
come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.
Ephesians 3:12 {NLT}

Let Beth’s words be our prayer:
Father, help me to understand that the amount of faith I possess will greatly affect the freedom and confidence with which I approach you.  Help me to know and cease doubting.

  1. I do believe in HIS promises… from experience, HIS PLANS, HIS PROMISES, HIS VISION is so much better than anything my little mind could dream up. :)
