This is a classic example of daddy behind me {unbeknownst to me}, rockin’ out with the kids and being silly. They started imitating him and of course, I had to capture it! Adorable!
Ahh …
Did I mention this is a family of “smarties” … :) I know that reading is a strong tradition in their family, and I also know that family meetings in bed take place frequently … so I asked them to bring along a book and we’d capture them reading stories in bed. Take a look at that ‘bedtime story’ book! My family’s bedtime stories usually have pictures. {hee!}
Dad was really reading to them, the kids were entranced … I was blessed to be a quiet bystander, but I seriously wanted to scoot them over and join them!

I love these photos! Mally was up on dad’s shoulders when I whispered a ‘secret’ to her … she was giggling in anticipation, so I snapped that quickly. Then counted, one … two … three!! And wham … she covered dad’s head with her dress and of course let the belly laughs roll! Dad was a sport and played right into it …

Lastly, I was taking a few photos of mom and dad just looking at each other, then asked them to smooch. The kids were looking at me, but when mom and dad smooched, they both looked down to see. Then Mally tenderly grabbed her brother’s face to go in for a smooch.
We started laughing about it and in a nervous laughter, Mally started playing with mom’s hair … love the innocence.
Guys, I trust you are lovin’ your photos as much as I {apparently} do … it was a great pleasure to finally do this session!
We went through so many cancellations and reschedules, I was seriously thinking something must’ve been in the cards for it not to happen. But nope … we got ‘er done!
