my ms warriors {tuesday unwrapped}

As I do every Tuesday, today I’m joining Emily in finding a hidden gift amongst the ordinary, the messy, the unexpected …

I’ll be honest … I was stuck this Tuesday on what gift I would unwrap … I mean, I’m on vacation, in paradise, surrounded by my family … quite frankly, I’m currently living a gift every moment of every day.

Then it occurred to me … today, I’d like to unwrap the unexpected gift I’ve found in my team of MS warriors.  My heart is swelling at the support that’s surrounded me.

I put out a note and did a couple of blog posts about an upcoming MS walk … and I’m touched by the response I’ve received.

I can’t remember what my initial fund raising goal was, but when Jenny emailed and said the system wasn’t letting her donate because I’ve reached my goal … I decided to raise it to $5,000.00!  As of last week, we beat that number!!  Our current donations are at $5,230.00 … crazy amazing!

I feel humbled … I feel blessed!

And that’s not all … friends {both in real life and bloggie friends} have had this, this and this to say about MS and raising awareness.

Humbled and blessed …

Over the last month, I’ve realized it’s not just me fighting this disease.  It’s my family, my friends … and all the people I’ve touched.

If you’d like to join me and my warriors as we walk on April 18th, you can sign up on my walk page.  Everyone is welcome!  Bring the hubs, bring the littles … it’ll be a great time for a great cause and I’d be honored to have you on our team!

{p.s. … are you lovin’ my very own logo?!  thank you nellie … designer extraordinaire!}

    What a gift! Congratulations on meeting your goal. Again! I know what you mean about living the gift while you’re on vacation. That was me last week. Live it up, girl. And thanks for linking today.

    If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have realized just how complex MS is. You’ve definitely raised my awareness of this terrible disease and I know you’re doing the same with many others. The support you have is tremendous & I just wish I could be there with you on the 18th to walk. I wonder if you’ll be able to hear me cheering for you all the way from Louisiana?

    I am so sorry to hear about your battle with MS. I have rheumatoid arthritis. Chronic illness stinks. I am glad you have found your warriors. :)

    A HUGE CONGRATS to you! I feel like a dork— I went to the main page to donate— to do this I sign up to be a warrior… then I can donate without being there to walk, right? Or are those just the walkers? I want to help support this cause. You are such a terrific inspiration!
