I'm a redeemed child of God and the momma to four vivacious daughters. I'm passionate about finding hidden blessings in the trials of life, living it out in an honest and open way, while encouraging those around me to believe in better.

the lord looks at their hearts

Join me this month as I share my thoughts on why it’s so very important to know who your children are. God’s created them individually unique and I believe it’s our responsibility as parents to dig deep into understanding their hearts and uniqueness.

And if you haven’t been to the new Mothers of Daughters site yet, I encourage you to browse through the beautiful encouragement and timeless truths so important in raising godly women in today’s world.

why i’m a “yes mom”

Have y’all been enjoying the new Mothers of Daughters site? I love, love, love all the hard work Stacey puts into it — I love the new magazine-type format, the pretty photos, the cohesive look, and of course the amazing content! Once again, I feel blessed to be a part of this incredible community of moms!

For anyone not paying attention, today is the second Tuesday of the month. Do you know what that means? Besides school shopping and getting those last few days at the pool in? The second Tuesday of each month is also the day Mothers of Daughters releases it’s new content for the month. Yay!

And this month I’m sharing why I’m a “yes mom.” I’d love to have you join me as I share my thoughts!

love them well …

“If you love well, you will influence your children, and your love will cover over many inadequacies.” Sally Clarkson

I yell. I get frustrated. I’m impatient. Short-tempered. I browse my phone too often. Sometimes I forget to feed them breakfast. And I may even {gasp!} be seen slamming a door or two on occasion.

Yeah. Not the stuff fairy-tale parenting is made of.

Did you know Mothers of Daughters {formerly known as the MODsquad has a brand new look and a brand new site? And that it’s spectacular!?

“Last month we launched a bold new idea. We publish our entire blog content magazine style with all the posts going live at once. That way, a mom can read at her own pace when she has the time. It is all up to her. I guess you could call it a blogazine or a magblog. It is just so cool.” Stacey Thacker {the mastermind and overseer of Mothers of Daughters}

But back to the whole door slamming thing I mentioned … hop over to Mothers of Daughters where I’m sharing an oh-so-important detail I’ve learned about parenting. And in case you’re wondering … it isn’t slamming doors. :)

A few other fun things over there this month:

  • an interview with Emily Freeman {way cool!}
  • 7 mommy/daughter date ideas
  • summer fun on a budget
  • a few summer recipes to do with your daughter
  • and lots of encouragement!

a new mothers of daughters

So. I realize I’ve been pretty absent around here lately. I’ve been in one of those seasons where life seems to swallow you whole. I’m sure someone out there can relate!?

The good news is, things seem to be settling a bit and I’m hoping to reconnect with this space here of mine … I do love it so. Truly.

Anyyywayyy … I’m popping in to share some very exciting news!!!

Stacey had a vision to bring Mothers of Daughters {formally known as the MODsquad}, to a whole new level. A redo. A revamp. And she’s been working tirelessly to see it through. Well … today is the unveiling of a beautiful new site where mom’s can connect and know they’re not alone in this weary walk of parenting!

The new design is an online magazine feel. The content stays for a month, with the second Tuesday of every month bringing new content.

And if you’re new to Mothers of Daughters and don’t want to miss a thing, here are a few ways to connect:

RSS Feed – an email delivered when new content is available

I believe God has a strong vision for this site and many families will be blessed by Stacey’s obedience to see this project through! Won’t you stop by and take a peek today?
