how sweet is she?

I’ve been waiting a lonnggg time to get my camera on this little bundle!  I recently took photos of her mama & siblings, while I patiently counted down the days til she arrived.

She’s a precious little peanut!!  Fun fact?  She had the same birth stats as miss teenager!  She woke a few times during the session, so I tried to take advantage of those pretty blue eyes!

This was my first newborn session … I’ve done one other with twins, but they were preemie and already a little older by the time mom wanted photos taken of them.  I’ve been dying to have a squishy, fresh newborn to photograph!  :)

Miss O here was a champ with her diaper off.  Maybe TMI, but I haven’t been one who’s shy about sharing info, have I?  And I won’t fail you now …

So miss O had her diaper off during most of the shoot … I’m a mom of four, no problem with a few messes, right?  Well, little O had been having some trouble with the ol’ BM situation … little did mom know all she needed to do was take her diaper off!  I think the girl pretty much got out everything she was saving up!  Some of it in my hand!  Fortunately, a little poo can’t phase me …

Dad was not too happy with the following shots.  We didn’t tell him what we were doing, but then couldn’t resist.  His response, “I’m going to pretend I didn’t see that.”

His response when I emailed a teaser image? “{loudly} That’s beautiful. {quietly} That’s on the mantle.  {loudly} But that’s beautiful!”  Then he says to miss O, “I guess it was worth living on the edge … literally.”

Cute, no?

Lastly, I needed a few more portraits for the newborn gallery on my website.  I had already warned mom {and fortunately, she’s a friend of mine!}, that I’d be giving miss O a few ‘different’ looks.  Doesn’t she make a handsome looking boy?  :)

Thank you, thank you for letting me capture these memories for you … I hope you love them!  You can view more images from the session here.
