sportin’ a new look!

Have I ever mentioned I started my working career as a barber?  Not a hairstylist or cosmetologist … I’m a licensed barber my friends.  Clippers, flat tops, a straight-edge shave … the works!

I’ve been cutting the girls hair since they were born … well, ‘cept that one time when I was overly pregnant and just not in the mood … for cutting hair that is! :)

Anyway … last week, while I had a photoshoot and CJ was out of town … granny was over watching the girls.  They were just finishing up with showers when I came home and Piper asked if I’d trim her hair.  Blagh … not in the mood!  Begging ensued and I gave in.

In the middle of cutting Piper’s hair, Hunter started asking if I’d cut hers short like Pipers.  Since seeing this new look … I’d been tempted to cut Hunter’s short anyway … so it didn’t take much for me to say YES!  And in the middle of cutting Hunter’s hair … Wynter got in on the act and we chopped away at hers too.

The best part?  Hunter’s donating her hair “to sick kids who don’t have hair.”  LOVE when there’s a giving moment involved in something new and exciting!

So … whadda ya think?

Dad’s response when I texted him a photo of the new dos?

Gotta admit I kinda thought you were crazy for wanting to chop Hunter’s hair but you clearly were able to see the bigger picture. They all look GORGEOUS! Just when I think they can’t be any cuter you give them a rockin’ new ‘do and they are!! Hope everyone is adjusting well.

BTW ~ love this new fact about you! I meant to ask when you broke out the scissors for Liv’s hair but forgot. You have so many fun tidbits to share about yourself – love it!

p.s. This picture makes me miss the girlies like crazy. Not sure how they catapulted into my heart so darn quickly but they did. Hope they like the surprise that should hit your doorstep today :-) I just couldn’t resist.
