praise him through the storm

Warning:  A raw and honest post will follow.

I’m sick.  I rarely admit it, but it’s true.  And the last few weeks have been especially difficult.

Please join me today at the MODsquad as I discuss how I intend to teach my girls how to praise Him through any storm.

The Lord has worked so beautifully on your heart. I love this. What a beautiful legacy to give your girls.
My mom has suffered from polio my whole life. From the time I was about ten till sixteen she broke her ankle, hip, knee and leg at various times. Watching her respond in grace and her relying fully on Him altered my life. It was so raw. So real. And she lived her talk. And that is a beautiful gift for any mother to give their daughter – authenticity and transparency before God and others.
    Love you dear lady!

What a gift you are giving your girls. They will one day know the struggle and heartache and physical pain you’ve faced—and when they do I imagine their hearts will burst with love and appreciation. You are an extraordinary role model for them and for US! :)

Forgive me for being crazy…but I am certain this photo is from Dromoland castle! I’ve never visited your blog before, but ran across it through SouthernDaze…I saw this photo, my heart skipped a crazy-travel-beat and thought, “This looks exactly like the path to the walled garden at Dromoland…but it couldn’t be. That’s too crazy.” I was just there four weeks ago (where I fell in love, or something like it, with my travel companion)…and Dromoland was one of my favorite stays. Upon further blog-lurking, I see you’ve just visited Ireland as well! Your photos are much lovelier than mine, and it was like being there all over again. :) I could have stayed at Dromoland for weeks. (Except, at night the dim-lit hallways frightened me.)

So, thanks a million. You’ve just made my Friday night. :)
